Our Services

The Feel Better Practice offers in-person and online therapy for a wide range of mental health issues from our Leichhardt clinic in Sydney’s Inner West. We support adults and adolescents in navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, neurodiversity, low mood, and self-worth. We also provide recovery-focused care for the treatment and management of eating disorders, disordered eating, body-image challenges, and weight and shape concerns.

We ensure treatment is neurodivergent-affirming, collaborative, and uses evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs, with a strong focus on emotional safety and nervous system regulation.

Rather than focusing only on symptom management, we will work together to explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences sitting beneath the surface. Through a considered and exceptional standard of care across all services, we will support meaningful and sustainable change at your pace.

You do not need to be at your lowest point to begin. Wanting to start feeling better is enough reason to seek support and create change.

Anxiety

Even when life appears manageable, anxiety can present as persistent worry, overthinking, physical tension, or difficulty switching off. We provide anxiety-focused counselling to help you understand your nervous system and reduce overwhelm, chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, or the pressure to perform.

Our approach supports you in building effective emotional regulation skills, increasing your stress tolerance and capacity.

Through therapy, we will help you understand how these responses developed, what keeps them going, and how to maintain balance. This process is designed to help you feel more grounded and confident in managing your daily stressors.

Eating Disorders & Body Image Concerns

Eating concerns are rarely just about food. They often link to deeply held patterns of anxiety, control, guilt, trauma, and self-worth. These challenges can present as changes in behaviour, thoughts, and feelings regarding food, weight, or body shape, which significantly impact your daily life and wellbeing.

We offer specialised therapy in Sydney for the treatment of Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, and ARFID and atypical eating disorders.

Our approach provides compassion and motivation to address body image distress and the process of re-establishing nourishment. Where appropriate, therapy is supported by clinical nutrition and a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure holistic and sustainable recovery.

Burn Out & Stress Management

You may be feeling numb, fatigued, irritable, or low in mood and motivation. Burnout often develops gradually through chronic stress, high expectations, and prolonged pressure to perform.

Through burnout and stress management, we work to restore nervous system balance and rebuild your emotional capacity.

We address the root patterns, such as people-pleasing, self-pressure, and self-criticism and support you in a way that is realistic and sustainable.

Our goal is to promote long-term resilience and healthy boundaries, helping you meet life’s demands while feeling more like yourself again.

Self Worth, Self-Esteem & Confidence Challenges

Difficulties with self-worth can show up as harsh self-criticism, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or thoughts of not being "good enough" despite your achievements.

Through self-esteem and confidence counselling, we explore these originating patterns and work towards developing a more compassionate, trusting, and secure relationship with yourself.

Over time, this therapy can support clearer boundaries, increased confidence, and a stronger sense of self and self trust.

Trauma

Trauma can impact how safe you feel in your body, your relationships, and your sense of self. It may stem from a single event, repeated experiences, or developmental and relational trauma.

At the Feel Better Practice, we provide trauma-informed therapy in the Inner West. We recognise how past experiences can shape emotional responses, relationships, and self-beliefs.

Our therapy prioritises safety, choice, and stabilisation. We focus on building regulation, understanding trauma responses, and reducing the impact of past experiences on your present life without pressure and at your pace.

Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity-affirming counselling is a service we provide to youth, teenagers and adults who identify as neurodivergent or are exploring neurodiversity.

Our counselling includes support for managing symptoms and anxiety, emotional and sensory regulation, masking, identity exploration, and self-understanding.

Therapy emphasises safety and choice, adapted to your communication style and needs. We maintain a deep focus on your strengths and self-acceptance, rather than change or correction of differences.
